If the local pH environment is unsuitable, the peptide may show cloudiness, floating particles, clumping, gel-like behaviour, aggregation, or precipitation.
Bacteriostatic water, sterile water, saline, acetic acid water, and buffered solvent systems are not chemically identical. Substituting one for another may change the peptide’s solubility profile, particularly for longer sequences, hydrophobic peptides, modified peptides, or peptides with specific salt forms.
