Research Description

LL-37 10MG

LL-37 10mg

LL-37 10mg – Research Reference Material

Research Grade • Lyophilised Form • HPLC and Mass Spectrometry Verified • Batch-Specific Documentation

Overview

Peptiology’s LL-37 10mg is a synthetic human peptide reference material supplied in lyophilised form for controlled laboratory, analytical and biochemical research.

LL-37 is a 37-amino-acid human cathelicidin antimicrobial peptide derived from the human CAMP gene. Its defined sequence and characterised molecular structure make it suitable for laboratory workflows involving peptide identification, molecular characterisation, peptide–membrane interaction studies and investigations of innate immune and cellular responses.

The molecular formula, sequence and molecular weight above are supported by established peptide reference documentation and PubChem. The definitive purity, salt form and analytical results for the Peptiology material should always be confirmed against the applicable batch-specific Certificate of Analysis.

Storage and Laboratory Handling

LL-37 is supplied in lyophilised form to support stability during storage and transport.

Store the unopened material according to the conditions specified in the applicable product documentation and batch-specific Certificate of Analysis. Research-grade LL-37 reference materials are commonly stored at –20°C. Protect the material from excessive heat, moisture and direct light.

Laboratory preparation should be carried out using suitable research-grade materials, appropriate equipment and documented handling procedures.

Once prepared for laboratory analysis, storage conditions should be determined according to the validated requirements of the relevant research protocol.

Synthesis and Quality Assurance

Our LL-37 is supplied as a synthetic peptide reference material with quality-assurance procedures designed to support:

High sequence fidelity

Consistent molecular identity

Reliable batch-to-batch specifications

Traceable analytical documentation

Reproducible research material

Each batch is assessed using applicable analytical techniques such as HPLC and mass spectrometry. A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis is available to support analytical transparency and traceability.

Research Applications

LL-37 is widely investigated in laboratory research involving:

Peptide identification and characterisation

Innate immune response research

Antimicrobial peptide studies

Peptide–membrane interaction research

Host–pathogen interaction models

Cellular signalling investigations

Molecular and biochemical analysis

Analytical assay development

LL-37 is characterised as a human cathelicidin and has been extensively studied for its interactions with biological membranes and its role in innate immune research. These descriptions relate to laboratory and preclinical research contexts and should not be interpreted as claims of therapeutic efficacy or established clinical use.

Important Notice

For laboratory research and in-vitro use only.

This material is not intended for human or animal use, household use, food use or any form of personal application. It is supplied solely as a laboratory reference material for appropriately controlled research environments.

Product specifications, purity, molecular identity, salt form, storage conditions and analytical results should always be verified against the current batch-specific Certificate of Analysis and product documentation.

Reconstitution & Handling

  • Recommended solvent Refer to COA / product notes
  • Storage Store as directed in documentation
Important reconstitution notice: Unless the product page, COA, or batch-specific documentation states otherwise, Peptiology peptide products should only be reconstituted using bacteriostatic water supplied by Peptiology.

Peptides are chemically sensitive materials, and reconstitution behaviour can be influenced by the exact diluent used. Different diluents may vary in pH, ionic strength, preservative content, buffering capacity, osmolarity, dissolved gases, and trace impurities. Even small differences in these factors can affect how a peptide dissolves and behaves in solution.

From a chemistry perspective, pH is especially important because it can alter the ionisation state of acidic and basic amino acid side chains. This can change the peptide’s net charge, hydrogen bonding, electrostatic interactions, and hydrophobic association. If the local pH environment is unsuitable, the peptide may show cloudiness, floating particles, clumping, gel-like behaviour, aggregation, or precipitation.

Bacteriostatic water, sterile water, saline, acetic acid water, and buffered solvent systems are not chemically identical. Substituting one for another may change the peptide’s solubility profile, particularly for longer sequences, hydrophobic peptides, modified peptides, or peptides with specific salt forms.

For consistency, reproducibility, and batch comparability, only the recommended diluent system should be used unless an alternative solvent is specifically stated in the product documentation.
  • Do not substitute diluents unless specifically instructed.
  • Only use Peptiology-supplied bacteriostatic water unless stated otherwise.
  • Do not assume all peptides behave the same after reconstitution.
  • Visible changes may be caused by diluent incompatibility, pH shift, ionic effects, concentration effects, or peptide-specific solubility behaviour.
  • Peptiology cannot verify reconstitution compatibility where non-Peptiology diluents have been used.
For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
