Important BAC water compatibility notice: Peptiology bacteriostatic water is supplied for use with Peptiology peptide products where bacteriostatic water is the recommended diluent. Peptiology cannot verify or guarantee compatibility with third-party, unverified, or non-Peptiology peptides.

This is important because peptide reconstitution is not controlled by the water alone. The behaviour of the final solution also depends on the peptide’s purity, salt form, residual solvents, counterions, lyophilisation quality, moisture exposure, storage history, excipients, sequence length, hydrophobicity, and pH profile.

From a chemical compatibility perspective, adding bacteriostatic water to a third-party peptide can produce unpredictable results if the peptide material has an unsuitable pH, contains residues from manufacture, has degraded during storage, or has poor solubility characteristics. Changes in pH and ionic environment can alter amino acid side-chain charge, hydrogen bonding, peptide folding or association, and hydrophobic interactions. This may cause cloudiness, visible particles, clumping, foaming, gel formation, aggregation, or precipitation.

These visible changes do not automatically indicate an issue with the bacteriostatic water. They may instead reflect incompatibility with the specific peptide batch being reconstituted, especially where the peptide was not supplied, tested, or documented by Peptiology.

For consistency, reproducibility, and traceability, Peptiology bacteriostatic water should only be used with Peptiology peptide products where this diluent is recommended. If using a peptide from another supplier, please consult that supplier’s batch-specific COA, formulation notes, and recommended reconstitution method before use.
